Refund and cancellation policy

Last updated 2026-08-23

Unused credit is refundable within 30 days of purchase. Credit you have already spent is not.

There is nothing to cancel

MapRouter does not sell subscriptions. You buy prepaid credit once, and it is drawn down per request at the rates on the pricing page. Nothing recurs, nothing renews, and no card is charged again unless you buy more credit yourself. To stop using the service, simply stop — there is no cancellation step and no further charge.

Refunds on unused credit

Within 30 days of a purchase, you may request a refund of the credit from that purchase that you have not yet spent. We refund it in full, to the original payment method.

Credit that has already been consumed by API requests is not refundable — the service was delivered. Where a purchase is partly spent, we refund the unspent remainder.

After 30 days, refunds are at our discretion. Ask anyway if you think your situation warrants it; credit does not expire, so there is no deadline on using it.

If our service failed

If credit was consumed because of a fault on our side — an outage, incorrect data returned, or requests billed in error — we will refund or re-credit it regardless of the 30-day window. Tell us which requests were affected and roughly when, and we will check the ledger against them.

How to request one

Email support@maprouter.ai from the address you paid with, or include it in the message. Tell us the purchase and the reason. You do not need to fill in a form or call anyone.

We acknowledge requests within two business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method immediately; how long it then takes to appear is up to your bank or card issuer, and is typically five to ten business days.

Chargebacks

If something has gone wrong, email us first — we would rather refund you directly and quickly than dispute it. We will always try to resolve a billing complaint before it gets that far.
